Amílcar Perea is a prominent leader in financial technologies and digital innovation. He is General Manager at Inswitch, a company specializing in embedded finance solutions that help businesses quickly deploy digital financial services through its Fintech as a Service platform. He is also the current President of the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (CUTI), where he plays a key role in advancing the IT sector in Uruguay.
With over 25 years of experience, Perea has worked across diverse industries including Finance, Healthcare, Telecommunications, and Government, leading initiatives in financial inclusion and mobile technology throughout Latin America. He co-founded Doctari Latam, a platform focused on digital health services and has held senior roles at global consulting firms like Booz Allen Hamilton, advising major financial institutions across the region.
Amílcar is also a delegate for Blockchain co-investment at ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency of Uruguay) and has been a driving force behind the region’s technological and financial ecosystem.
Amílcar holds a degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad ORT Uruguay, where he developed a strong foundation in technology and business transformation.
