Joaquim “Joca” Campos has served as Vice President of IBM Technology Latin America since January 2021. With over 23 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, Joca has held a variety of roles in sales, marketing, and leadership at IBM. His career has been driven not only by his commitment to delivering outstanding business results but also by his passion for people management, workforce diversity, and inclusion. He has been an active leader in engagement and integration initiatives across the company.
In his current role, Joca leads IBM Technology across Latin America, guiding the company’s business strategy to help clients accelerate growth with hybrid cloud and AI technologies.
Previously, Joca held several leadership positions, including Vice President of Cloud & Cognitive Software for IBM Brazil, Vice President of IBM Systems Brazil, and the creator and leader of the IBM Security Business Unit in Latin America. Under his leadership, these areas were recognized for their growth, innovation, and strong collaboration with clients and business partners.
Joca holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and a degree in Administration with an emphasis on Foreign Trade. He has also completed MBA programs in Finance and Marketing & Sales Management. Joca serves as a Vice President on the Executive Committee of AmCham Brazil.
Additionally, Joca is the Executive Sponsor of the IBM Brazil BRG (Business Resource Group) for LGBT+, a volunteer group focused on promoting diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and LGBT+ rights in alignment with IBM’s business strategy and priorities.
