Kathia is a seasoned leader in the Nearshore and Outsourcing industry, currently heading Marketing, Customer Experience, and Commercial Sales for GK’s companies. With a decade of experience in the textile sector, including a leadership role at Jockey International, she has played a pivotal role in launching and developing key projects like Altia Smart City and Altara Shopping and Lifestyle Center, both achieving 100% occupancy.
Kathia has successfully attracted major BPO and call center operations to Honduras, generating over 15,000 direct jobs and positioning the country as a premier outsourcing destination. She contributed to the Honduras 2020 initiative with McKinsey & Company, aimed at enhancing foreign investment.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Loyola University New Orleans, Kathia holds a double major in International Business and Marketing, alongside certifications in Digital Marketing from Yale and Customer Experience from CX University. She is actively involved in social responsibility initiatives, serves as President of Vital Voices Honduras, and holds various leadership roles in industry organizations.
Born in San Pedro Sula, Kathia balances her professional commitments with family life, enjoys cycling and running—having completed five marathons—and is a member of the Central American Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
